  1. Well when I got the car both rockers on both sides were already rotted out. The only thing I have been cutting out so far is a little bit of the floor on the passenger side. Honestly I don't know how the car is holding together with as much that has rusted out of it. I do plan on bracing it when I get to actually cutting out what is left. Both doors are still aligning like they was new. Thanks for the heads up though, I appreciate all the information.
  2. Thanks, I may see how much trouble they would be to fabricate since I need all of them. This car will be back on the road again. I am not in any hurry but it would be nice to drive her down the road and the only thing stopping that is these floors.
  3. Thank You so much for those pictures. I think These will help a lot. I usually wear my sandals when working, I know that's not the safest either. I just went out last night to get the pictures bare footed.
  4. I have finally been able to start working on the 1951 Plymouth Cambridge and I have a few questions that hopefully someone can help answer here. OK, I have started cutting out part of the passenger side floor so I can see what all is needed to replace the inner and outer rockers. The Car came with both outer rockers and the passenger inner rocker. As you can see in the Pictures there is nothing left of the rockers or where they were connected. Does anyone have any pictures or a guide perhaps as to how to go about getting these replaced. Me and my roommate are doing all of the work. I know I will have fabricate some body pieces to weld in place, But I for the life of me can't figure out how to attach the inner rocker. Is it because the braces are rotted off that I cant figure it out? Thanks in advance for any help.
  5. Thanks everybody, upon inspecting a little more I believe all the chrome trim is in the trunk. and I found what I believe to be the brackets for a Fulton Sun Shield although the sun shield itself isn't there and there wasn't any holes where it would have been mounted. OK, back to workin on it just had to come in and cool off for a bit.
  6. Here is my 1951 Plymouth Cambridge that I just picked up yesterday. There is a lot of work to be done to her. She needs new floors and rockers both inner and outer. The interior was not present anywhere , so I will have to find some seats. The good news most of the body is solid with the exception of one of the fenders is rotted at the bottom. She does run and drive which was a bonus , although she has no brakes . The best part of the deal is she was free with title. The original flattie and trans is in the car. It will take some work to get her back on the road again but I saved this one. The owner was going to scrap her.
