  1. Thanks for the replies. It is indeed 1/2 pipe. I drilled it and tapped it to the correct size to accept the capillary tube which I did indeed break trying to remove. I even removed the Welch plug on top but could not get it to budge.
  2. We are installing a later 230 into a ‘36 Plymouth and I see that the later head has a very small hole in the head, I assume this was an electrical gauge. I need to run the factory mechanical gauge. What size thread is the early heads? I would like to drill and tap the head to use the ‘36 mechanical gauge.
  3. I am working on a ‘36 P2 for a customer and while doing a clutch replacement we thought it would be good to replace the rear mounts. I got everything back together and noticed the crosshaft for the clutch on an angle. Luckily we had not thrown away the old mounts so I took everything back apart and the new mounts are 3/8 taller than the old ones. It is my fault for not comparing them before install. We are going to install the originals but was wondering if anybody else has had this problem? Is there a source for correct mounts?
  4. View Advert 1936 plymouth tail light wanted Looking for a driver side tail light for a 1936 plymouth like the one in the picture. I have the stand but if I need to buy the stand as well that is fine. Please let me know if you have one. Thanks. 5. I have the pedal assembly off of a clients ‘36 plymouth and not sure what it is supposed to look like. Obviously somebody has done some modifications to it. Can anybody help with that this is supposed to look like.
  6. Thanks for all the replies, really appreciate it. The owner of the car may also be interested in a rear end swap but it needs to be same width as original and be able to mount the stock wheels. He does not want a hot rod, something that just stops better than factory.
  7. Wow that simple? No need for a proportioning valve? How do your brakes perform?
  8. Hi everybody, I am a new member and am working on a 1936 plymouth. Could somebody that has done a front disc brake conversion tell me what master cylinder is best to use? Stock with a proportioning valve or is there a modern two chamber that fits? The car is bone stock. Any help is appreciated.
