I am inheriting my Great Grandfather's 1955 Dodge C1-C8-116 this summer and I am just getting all my info together so when it comes to work and parts I have the best info that I can have. I know the truck has a V8 but I cannot find how to identify which engine it is exactly. I am guessing it is a 241ci Poly instead of the Hemi, just based on pictures that I could find. Can any of you identify it by this picture and that the tag says 125HP at 4000RPM and 145HP at 4400RPM(ignore the dirtiness)? I can get other info if needed, but pretty sure this is what would be needed. Thanks for the help!

My Great Grandfather, and guessing my Great Grandmother with the '55 Dodge (I'll be inheriting this summer) and what I believe is a '55 DeSoto. The truck was my Great Grandfather's then my Uncle's, and then my Parent's, and soon to be mine. My Dad just told me that he is getting too old to work on too many toys, and he is giving it to me. It is in a little worse shape than here, but pretty much original. I'll post pictures of it's current state, in the correct area, when I get it out of the barn, but from what I recall it definitely will need a gas tank and fuel pump, amongst other things.
