  1. Thank you gentleman, i will follow your advice and change before winter storage and then latest after 2,5K mls Joe
  2. I go mostly longer trips with 50 to 150 mls each. No short trips.
  3. Hey, since my 41 runs like a champ the odometer accumulate miles by miles. I am now at rough 3.000 mls since I got it. I did an oil change as I got it, incl. filter. I had to add only 1.5 quart while these travels. Oil pressure is still at 25 - 60 PSI. (idle/ driving) Now I am wondering what will be a good interval to change oil with our modern oil and these vintage bypass oil filter ??? Thank you Joe
  4. With buying the D19 Business Coupe (with a P18 engine) we got a double carburetor intake with linkage and cast split exhaust manifolds. Wondering how much is the effect installing this components? The engine is stock. What carburetors are the best choice for this application? Will the auto choke working with double carbs? Makes it sense to do this without changing the head or milling it off? Many questions… Thank you Joe
  5. i changed the Oil using the redline MTL. The scratching while gear change is better but not gone. I think i need new synchro rings? are they available? Thank you Joe
  6. We went for a US car show here in Germany today. They awarded 5 trophies, Best of Show, Rat Rod, Modern Car, Longest Distance and Oldie but Goldie. There were a lot of awesome cars here, 59 Cadillacs, 50ies Corvettes, Chargers, Cudas, Mustangs, Lincolns... but hey, the ol‘ Dodge made it !
  7. better don’t ask. these story stinks… 🤪
  8. i took my endoscopy camera, the pipe is gone but the small hole is still there. used a syringe with long curved injection needle to put 2-3 drops if oil in the hole. noise has gone. Thank you !
  9. I did. and it worked! noise is gone. I spoke about soao with a friend and he sayed a bee wax candle will work too! Thank you !
  10. Thank you ! any idea on the water pump ? Joe
  11. PS: i got me all the 6V pos. Ground LEDs from this shop at UK Joe https://www.classiccarleds.co.uk/collections
  12. After many years of hibernation, our '41 Dodge is starting to squeak everywhere. And that's despite the fact that I've spent days jumping around the car with a grease gun and oil can... lol Squeaking #1 Water pump. A bit of oil didn't help anything, I think it needs to be replaced? It's a model without a grease nipple, so it's newer. The engine is a P18, but I can't find a replacement? Can it be repaired? Squeaking #2 Alternator, I've bought repair set and think it will soon work without any noise Squeaking #3 Speedometer At first I thought the speedometer cable was squeaking and I oiled it lightly, but it didn't get any better. So I took the speedometer cable off and it went quiet. So the speedometer is squeaking. What can I do myself or should I send the speedometer to a specialist? Thank you Joe
  13. I'm asking for help in identifying this fragment. D19 3Window Business Coupe 1941 I found it on the passenger side on the carpet between the seat and the door. It has broken edges. Any idea? Thank you Joe
  14. Two problems with a standard flasher relay. The LED will not have enough load to let work the bimetall inside proper. When you install a electronic flasher be sure it’s one for positive ground with the additional power wire.
  15. LED 6V in action Unfortunately my arms or legs were too short for a video of the brake lights … lol
