  1. They have the copper plates available at eastwood.com, but they seem a little pricey at $49.99. Comes with a handle and three plates (straight, curved and right angle). Sure appreciate all the knowledge that is available on this forum. I'm getting ready to try to start my Grandfathers 1949 B-1-B. Just got it and it hasn't been started in about 15 years. Any guidance would be appreciated.
  2. Thanks for the info Merle. I feel very blessed to have it. I can remember in about 1957 my Grandpa pulling into his driveway when we were visiting and honking the horn. We would run out and jump in the back of his truck and sit on his toolbox (he was a carpenter) and he would drive to the garage (about 100 yards). Incidentally, I have his tool boxes too. Not sure I'm ready to switch to disk, but it's something to consider.
  3. Hi, I'm just starting to restore my Grandfathers Dodge pickup. It has been in my family since 1951 and hasn't been retitled since he passed away in the late seventies. It has pretty much always been garaged and is in good shape. I know I need to completely rebuild the breaks and drain all fluids and flush. I'm looking for good sources for brake parts. Any tips? I'm also working on a 1940 Buick 51c Phaeton. Don't have pictures to post yet but will try to get some soon.
