  1. Just wondering if anyone could suggest my opptions for putting a new floor in the boot of the 39.I have made a template of the area which extends through most of the boot area. I was going to cut the patch 20 or so mm larger and swage it all round so it can be installed from under and welded flush with existing floor. The floors in these cars are very irregular so hammer welding would be a pain. Any advise please....... ALSO! There is a real nice D12 39 for sale on Trademe nz.If any ones looken over here check it out.$5000 NZ looks to be in great condition.Just do a search on Trademe for Dodge D12 and you should find it. Cheers
  2. Thanks andyd. This sounds like a much more straight forward conversion.Dont spose you could post some pics of the front caliper assembly.Or send them PM. I will keep a look out for an EA rear end.Any other combos or advice out there...... Cheers All
  3. Thanks for all the advise. It would seem that reconditioning what I have is the most cost effective and a hell of a lot less work, all of which I can do myself. So if anyone wants a Xjs6 frontend with power steer let me know,I now have a spare.LOL. After talking to a brake company they feel the old drums will be fine once reconditioned and a booster installed. So back to the start..... Anyone have any contacts for drum rebuild, bearing and suspention kits for the 39.Part outlets for this car are few and far between over in nz.Also will the old girls diff be allright running a small V8. Thanks to PatS and all for steering me right.
  4. Thanks mate.As a first time builder I am having to go on advise only for the project.I would prefer not to alter the frame at all but to recondition what is existing.I was talked into the front end conversion by a few mates. But it sounds as though it may be a more expensive option. Will have to do some more research to see which option is for me.Cheers
  5. Hi to all. Have just got hold of a jag xj6 front end for the dodge and would like some advice on grafting it into my subframe.I will need a certified welder to complete the job I realise, but i would like to do at least some of the work myself, even removing old and getting it tacked in place ready for welding. Any advice or comments please.... Cheers Justin
  6. If mine looks like this at the end of the build I'll be stoked.Looking at doing something very similar.I want to put a Jag front and rear end onto my chassis to improve the handling and put a small 318 V8 into her.Any advise would be great being my first build. Cheers for the pic,its now my screen saver and motivation... Justin
  7. Cheers for all the info.My mind is at ease now knowing what I have. I hope not to be shunned in this group but i would really like to Rod this car, keeping it totaly originay apart from the running gear and power plant. Any advise greatly appreciated.
  8. Hi to all. I have just purchased a project car sold to me as a 39 dodge luxury liner. After some research i believe it is a Canadian made dodge possibly a D13.The serial no. is 9392931.I am in Christchurch NZ.Any info on the origan of this 39 would be great as i would like to know the history of these imported dodges. Please view the pics and comment. Can anyone tell me if you can get roff drip rails NOS or how to fabricate them. The car is pritty sound with rust confined to the boot and secondary panels under the car.I really want to source a rear bumper and a ram for the nose cone with trim under. Any advice on the resto or parts suppliers would be great.Cheers.Justin
