I want to thank all of the input on my project. I replaced the breaker plate with an original one. Now I have spark. Now I’m making progress. I probably will be back.

The wiring diagrams I have seen has the distributor power wire wired to positive side of coil.

If the coil was wired wrong , would that make a difference. I have it wired so the primer lead to distr is on the positive terminal.

I had spark when I first started to get it started. It almost started then nothing. I found a broken lead from the power wire coming to distributor to points. No power when I replaced it. I have power into coil but none coming out.

I have power on the negative side of coil. I have no power on positive dive of coil. There is no power at the points. Should the power lead going to points be under the insulator?

I am not getting any spark to the points. I posted 2 pics of my distributor as it is wired now. It did have spark with the new parts. When I replaced the powe lead in the distributor is when I list spark to the distributor.

Mine is a little different. My condenser has a metal strap instead of a wire. If I took a picture could you check it out?

The ground wire in the distributor is connected to the screw that holds the points. Is this correct? I have been trying to find a picture of a distributor so I can check my work. I have a service manual but it do show a good picture.

Even when I changed the wires on the coil, I still don’t have fire on dis side of coil.

I just took the distributor out yesterday so I could see things better and it looked like the condenser strap was touching the distributor body. I also found in the service manual that I had the wires backwards on the coil. The distributor lead wire is now on positive side of coilI still don’t have fire coil to coil. I have fire on negative side though.
