Okay. Thank you. That gives me a good idea as to what I need to find or make. I really appreciate the feedback.

I thought they may have been the issue at first. But I can see the oil running down from the distributor. Just need to find where I can get a seal. Suggestions??
-
Thank you for the help. Can you point me in the direction of where I might get a seal?
-
First let me apologize if I am doing this incorrectly. Here is my issue..... 1950 Dodge B2B is leaking oil that appears to be coming from behind the distributor cap. Is there a gasket or o ring that I may be missing or do I have other problems? Any help or input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you ! Jeff

Had the same thought. It is on my list for next week.

Yes, it was the oil down the plug holes. Compression came right back to where it should be, so all is well again. Thanks again everyone! ?

I think it has something to do with my type A personality and I just couldn't stop until it was fixed! All thanks to the knowledge and cooperation of you guys! Thanks again !

All is well again! I now have good compression in all cylinders and she is running nicely. Thank you all very much for sharing your knowledge with me. Could not have done it without your help and expertise. Jeff

I will most likely not get back out to my shop until Wednesday now but I do have a question about wash down. When I add the oil to the cylinders do I put the oil in each cylinder, put the plugs back in and crank it over? just want to make sure I do it correctly to get the oil where it is supposed to go. Thanks again guys!

I will give that a try tomorrow. Had to walk out of the shop tonight! Feeling extremely frustrated!!!! Thank you for the input. Jeff

Hey guys, I need some help. I had my 1950 B2B running well. Thought I may have had a blown head gasket and decided I should replace it. Installed the new gasket and now the truck will not start and I checked compression and I am down to 60 psi. Prior to replacing the gasket I was in the low 90's. I then decided to put the old gasket back on just to get it running again. Still will not start and compression is still in the 50-60 range. What did I do???? I am not a mechanic but thought I would be able to handle the head gasket replacement. I would really really appreciate any thoughts. Thanks.

I just wanted to say thank you for those responsible for organizing, operating and participating in this website and forum. I have spent many hours reading through this website and gaining insight to my 1950 Dodge B2B. I am stumbling along and with this website have been able to get her running again, not perfect, but running. Without this website and it's participants I would have never been able to get as far as I am. I still have a long way to go and will continue to use the large amount of knowledge that is available on this site. Thanks again to everyone !!!!! Jeff

Thank you very much for the reply. I checked compression. All cylinders are 90 or better so I thought maybe I was okay there????
