I posted it on P-D thinking there is less of a chance of it being molested . I posted it on another site a few times guys that show up say they plan to put a V 8 in place of the flat head so Ive stayed firm on the price so it hasn’t sold yet this pre-war car doesn’t come up for sale very often Im thinking

Thanks for the info J_D and wayfarer my Powerflite came with its 1959 251 Regent engine and linkage 41,000 miles on the motor -

chrysler1941 sorry I meant crank pulley guard thanks for the photo you and the pitcher answers my question my car is missing the splash guard my frame has threaded hole in the same locations as the driver side guard i'll have to fabricate one keep the dust and dirt out of the engine bay and help cool the engine I found a guy selling a 1949 desosto fluid drive transmission waiting for more info on it greg g my 48 Plymouth business coupe in its past life it was a race car back in the day in Thunderbay Ontario Canada -

chrysler1941 I burn 91 unleaded under the engine on your Royal there is a metal shield on the driver side is there also one on the passenger side my car only has one on the driver side the reason why I ask is there is a shield that covers the flywheel that is bolted to the driver side shield and a bolt hole on the passenger side of the flywheel shield but there is nothing to bolt it to what is yours bolted to i'm wondering if it is missing Thanks -

I took the bell housing cover off and there is just a clutch connected to the flywheel don't see a fluid coupling its up on my hoist right now cleaning up 78 years of grease and oil around the front end and trans I will try putting it in third when i take it down on Thursday I have a 41 Dodge coupe at my friends junk yard with a 217 25 inch block I hope its a vacamatic in the Dodge I can live with that if not I will try to find a M5 or my friend also has 4- 40 or 41 plymouth business coupes at his yard maybe one of them have a fluid drive trans they are for sale but are in rough shape Thanks for your help guys -

Hi Greg the reason I want to change the trany is I have a bad left hip painful pushing the clutch in and no it is not fluid drive
