Finally got the p-25 running good again when I snapped something in the throttle linkage. The peddle stuck to the floor and looks like two brackets on the linkage separated. Looks as if that square peg had a head on it that snapped. Looked through my manual and could not find a diagram. Anxious to get it back on the road.
P-25, 218, original motor, 6v, ran fine and idled fine before being pulled. Replaced mainseal now it runs terrible. Have not messed with timing in anyway.
Got my motor back in and it's running like complete sh*t and wont idle right. This is extremely vague because I dont even know where to start. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Pos will not slide in, I could have had the motor out and back in 5 more times what it is taking me to put this trans in. Can only use two headless bolts as others are hitting the housing. It's close enough to spin the clutch with the trans in gear.
Just finished putting my motor back in and hooking everything back up. When I put the clutch back on I didn’t use an alignment tool just eye balled it. Trans does not want to slide all the way back in. Should I loosen my clutch around the imput shaft and slide the trans in? Any other ways?
Doing a main seal on a 1954 218 and I can not drop the damn flywheel. The flywheel is very close to clearing the crank flange but the bellhousing is in the way. Do I need to pull the motor just to clear the space or is there another way. Trans, clutch, oil pan, dust shield and main bearing are all removed up to this point.
