  1. here are some photos. i honestly do not know a ton about these things and havent taken a real good inspection of them in a long while so i am sure there will be dents or dings or whatnot. i will leave it to you all who know more about them than i do to help evaluate the condition. they are currently stored inside a large trailer and out of the elements. added some pics. i am just outside boston mass but can deliver or ship if it helps. i put the items on ebay and if it is appropriate i can post the links but i didnt want to just post them without checking first. thank you - jason
  2. well hello everyone - it's been a good while since i was on here. i was going to skip out on my truck build as i just couldnt justify a few more thousand dollars for a rat rod (the truck is just too far gone to restore fully). So i TRIED selling it and nada. well fast forward acouple months and it's back on. i built a little sporty bar hopper bike that i traded plus a bit of cash for a 67 Dart GT that i absolutely love. It's a /6 which while pretty cool. is a bit slow. And it has drum brakes. So while checking craigslist I found a guy with a 76 Dart w/ a mildly hopped up 318, disk brakes, 5x4.5 bolt pattern wheels, new boosted m/c and a bunch of other useful goodies. Now is where the truck comes in. Since all 3 vehicles are Mopars, i am trying to decide if i should put the 318 in the Dart or the truck? i have complete drivelines for both. the truck is a rat rod so cutting the firewall, etc, all that stuff is fair game. just want to use the parts to the best potential. i'd love more oomph in the Dart as i will not be selling that one any time soon, though part of me is hesitant to rip apart a very well running 42 year old car. but to put the disks brakes on it i'd need to pull a bunch of parts anyway and it's prob easier to swap the whole k frame from the 76 to the 67. then i can drop the /6 driveline into the truck. does this sound like a decnt plan? the donor car will provide driveline, pedals, gas tank, bench seat, rear brakes, wheels, etc, and the sheetmetal from the 76 is beat so i will use it as patch panels. then the rest is off to the scrapper. by the way i hae front fenders, hood, and cowl from the 53 for sale cheap if anyone needs em. thank you - jason
  3. sorry to bump this again - feel free to delete this thread as i will move the thread to the parts section. somehow i missed it before? must be getting old...
  4. thanks 48D, Part of the reason I am selling is also because I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with what needs and should be done. I am into this for 2k inc the engine and trans and sandblasting the frame, brake kit etc. which isnt a ton of cash. My concerns are just how many parts i'll need to buy to complete it and how long i'll need to save up to get them!!! Plus the wifey isnt too happy to have the cab sitting in the lawn!! I know the truck is sorta a rare-bird so i also go back and forth between street/rat rodding it or letting it go to someone who is much more capable than i to get it done nicely. any thoughts? thank you for the kind words about being a Dad - loving it so far! She just turned 10 months.
  5. hello everyone, well as much as i hate to do it, i need to sell my project. just not going to have the time and/funds to really get this done as i am discoveing how being a first-time Dad means garage time is at a minimum!! i am not sure if it is appropriate to post an ebay link here so if it is inappropriate please delet or let me know and i will delete it. the pics are huge so i dont want to upload them here. i will sell any parts seperately if anyone here needs them. just let me know. the ebay ad is just to try to sell the whole lot but i'll sell whatever i can. here is the ebay link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p3907.m32&_trkparms=tab%3DSelling&item=280329590107&viewitem= i am 12 miles north of boston and can deliver within reason. thank you - jason 617-216-7940
  6. i also used one from Old Daddy - only issues i had was that i threaded the bottom bolt hole at an angle - but i sorted it out. i shoulda just sent the stuff to Charlie to drill/tap. afetr spending 20 bucks on a good tap and another 25 on a good 5/8 drill bat (after tryiong 3 diff ones from lowes that all dulled within 5 minutes), i only saved 30 bucks. but the kit is perfect. only issues were ones i caused. and your setup looks great. i may look into the wheel adapters as well so i can use the setup i have.
