1948 D24 Club Coupe

1948 Dodge Club Coupe owned by Pieter Singelenberg in Amsterdam, Holland. Photo is of his D24 competing in a road rally that traveled between Amsterdam and Berlin, Germany. Got to love that "ralley" look with all the lights and badges ! Three years ago he bought the 1948 Dodge Custom Club Coupe. It was imported from Massachusetts in 1980 by Rothmans Tobacco Company in Amsterdam for promotional use until 1996. Mileage is either 48,000 or 148,000 miles ! The car is original with beige paint. The interior is original and in good condition. It is equipped with full options. Pieter has added about 18,000 miles, and it has never failed to bring him home. Maintenance repairs have included water pump, starter, rear axle bearings, and overhauling the regulator and generator (or dynamo). Pieter an his wife compete in many classic European rallies and have won several rallies between the Volvo's, Austin Healy's and Porsche 911's !!!!. Nor has he ever met anyone in Europe who knows what a fluid drive is !
