1948 D25 Dodge Special Deluxe Club Coupe

Flathead is the big six with a 251 cubic inch displacement. This is the same size engine used in the U.S. DeSoto and Chrysler. Because of the lower production volume in Canada only one size engine was built by the Windsor engine plant for all Canadian models. Block length is 25-1/2 inches versus standard P15/D24 23-1/2 inch block. Also the 251 c.i. stroke and bore were different than U.S. version for the same displacement. The radiator support is reversed, moving the radiator forward two inches to accommodate the longer engine.
