Hello!

I recently installed LED H4 P43T bulbs on my 1950 S-14 so I can actually drive at night without having to convert the whole thing to 12 volt.

I did some research beforehand and found this type of bulb tends to do so when there's polarity issues and I've already suspected it could be because the car has a positive ground. However, im the furtherest thing from an electrical engineer so im still quite stumped.

Any advice?

what is your question?

Why are they only turning on when the high beams are turned on?

wiring issue, no voltage on low bean do to corrosion, broken wire, open in the dimmer switch.  Have you even verified voltage to the low beam spade of the bulb...?  So much is on you right now that you need to check yourself before anyone here can help you.  These bulbs by the way are illegal for use in a H4 bulb enclosure.  The listing even states this, you will see but oncoming traffic will likely be blinded by your lights....even on low bean which you still need to fix.  It may be a blessing they do not work to your fellow motorist.
