Doug&Deb Posted May 20 Report Posted May 20 Does anyone have a picture of the clip that holds the wire to the kick down switch on a 52 Coronet? I’m not sure if I have the correct one. The wire never seems fastened tightly and has come loose numerous times. The transmission harness is fairly new (YNZ Wiring) with the correct end so that’s not the issue. Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted June 5 Report Posted June 5 This is OE Stromberg KD bullet connector special wire clip.. Quote
Doug&Deb Posted June 5 Author Report Posted June 5 Thanks guys. That’s what I have. I just need to get it oriented just right and give it a good talking to and it eventually holds the wire in place. Quote
meadowbrook Posted June 16 Report Posted June 16 So the kick down switch is integrated to the carburetor? What do people who retrofit an Overdrive trans do for a kick down? Quote
Doug&Deb Posted June 17 Author Report Posted June 17 Good question. I’m not aware of anyone on this forum that has that setup. That kick down switch allows you to floor the gas pedal to downshift into 3rd . Quote

Doug&Deb Posted June 17 Author Report Posted June 17 I should clarify. I meant overdrive behind the M6 trans. I haven’t seen that done although it would be versatile. Quote
