Friends of mine could scan this within 1:24 or 1:18 scales and scale it down to 1:87 and 3-D- print it for my model Railraod. That would undoubtedly produce a better model than my attempt below. I had posted this helpless model before, but can't find the post again. I made a 1:87 scale "VEREM Chevy 4dr" to look close to my 51 Plymouth convertible. The VEREM model: a Dodge (much worse quality compared to the Opel left), not used for the Plymouth transformation: my 1:87 sculptured result, well I would like to have a closer copy of the original! Only the Coke coolbox (passive, for ice cubes to do cooling) looks near its prototype. Greetings from Düsseldorf! Plymouthy Adams Posted August 20 Report Share Posted August 20 A model of the 51/52 would be moderately received I am thinking and only become a reality if someone in the business of scale model manufacturing stumbled upon the fact a close family member had one back in the day and then likely would have to be the convertible or the Cranbrook Belvedere then maybe commission a short run of the model of the now more popular and desirable real life car. andyd Posted August 20 Report Share Posted August 20 Just found the resin 1/24-25th 1950 Plymouth 2dr.....it was made by R & R in 1993/4.....its a nicely done resin body shell, separate frame, interior tub, dash, seat vacu formed clear window piece & chromed grille & front/rear bumpers.....hood is molded shut, no engine as such tho' the one from AMT's 41 Plymouth would work, also no wheels or tyres are included.......I don't think R & R are still in business but checking on US Ebay, and various on line model companies may be worthwhile........regards, andyd Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Am sure everyone here has a few build models under their belt or collected a scale model of a car they have either owned in the past or currently own now. That is a stack of boxes for sure.
