1952 Cranbrook Windshield Moulding Question

Recommended Posts

Posted

See attached pics.

The book doesn't have a lot of detail on the outside finish moulding for the front windshield IMHO.

I got the car with this trim piece separated.

Does anyone have experience re-attaching these? Any special tapes or glues you recommend? Any tricks?

As always, if there was a post in 2006 about this that I missed because I am stupid and lazy, please be kind and point me to it.

First check if the rubber has been replaced, there are two different rubber moldings. One for chrome trim and one with out. If you have the correct rubber molding the service manual has about the best instructions. Patience and lube are the only thing I can add.

If you need the rear also, again the correct molding and it goes on before the glass is installed
