Jc Deluxe P20 Posted February 12, 2024 Report Posted February 12, 2024 My 1937 Plymouth P4 business coupe was bought with the front end sheetmetal in pieces and now trying to assemble same i am at a loss just how the hood attache's to the body . . The parts book i have does not have a picture or description of a part that could hold the hood down . i'm referring to the center section not the side panels Quote
TodFitch Posted February 12, 2024 Report Posted February 12, 2024 I don't know how similar it is, but on my '33 there is are saddle shaped pieces that screw onto the top of the firewall and the radiator shell. The hood hinge sits in the saddles then a cover screws down over that to hold it in place. I am out of town but I can take photos when I get home if that would help. Quote
Jc Deluxe P20 Posted February 13, 2024 Author Report Posted February 13, 2024 Tod that might help , thank you Quote
SteveR Posted February 13, 2024 Report Posted February 13, 2024 there should be 4 tabs on the hood itself secured by 4 bolts. 2 in the front and 2 in the back that bolt to the body. The photo is the back one. Quote
sidevalvepete Posted February 13, 2024 Report Posted February 13, 2024 Here's a few pics from a '38 rebuild. Might help... Quote
