JKochis82 Posted August 22, 2023 Report Posted August 22, 2023 At the point in the process where I needed to look at recovering the seat bottom and back in the B4. The back has springs coming through giant holes made by mice, and the bottom has some red covering put on back in the late 60's early 70's that's crumbling, and the bottom was sitting funny. Took the bottom out, they had wrapped that covering around completely making a great spot for mouse-dominium's, subsequently all the mouse urine has completely rotted out the seat frame and springs. Mine in the photos you will see has the U-Shaped brackets on the front that clip over the sliding seat frame. I have an opportunity to get a seat from a 1951 B3F. You will see in the photos it has some angled brackets on the front. My question is, are the seats the same size and shape(the replacement is 1000 miles away so I cant put them side by side. I can take the brackets off mine to install on the replacement as long as its the same. What are everyone's thoughts? Quote
ggdad1951 Posted August 22, 2023 Report Posted August 22, 2023 I believe the seats were all the same size, parts book search would confirm and that's out in the shop right now Quote
