The PT-6 is referenced in the manual as being used to temporarily hold rocker arm and link assembly while fuel diaphragm pull rod is hooked to the link. Anyone know what this tool looks like? I do not find pictures of specialty tools in the manual.
Thanks, Frank

my book calls for pt-6 tool also

if you hold the plunger up line up hook you can connect without tool

look into hole a little awkward but can be done

also pin 14-79-2 is known to slip out the fix uses two c clips hold pin in place20230106_200258.jpg.b548d622fcfa65ca7a7391525d3549a5.jpg

I need  help rebuilding my fuel pump on 47 Dodge 230  l 6. I have a rebuild kit and my old pump apart and cleaned. I am difficulty getting the diaphragm push rod to connect to the pump lever. I have tried everything. I can get it to fit onto the level  of the compression spring is off. I know the compression spring had to be compressed to remove the diaphragm from the lever arm. I can not get the diaphragm rod to slip onto the lever rod no matter how well I have the daiphram spring compressed, what am I missing,?

Thanks for response .  Considered that approach, but concerned about getting the pin back into the lever hole once spring tension is on the lever. Also, since there was not a new pin in the repair kit,  not sure if I could use the old pin if I could manage to get everything re-aligned.  Going to try a few more times to get it to catch securely if not will send it off. The company I got the kit from rebuilds them and will give full credit  for the kit costs towards the rebuild cost.
