No, I don’t think it’s undersized.

you mentioned rebuilding the MC at some point. It appeared to me you like to do research….. just trying to help. ?

if you do have the 1-1/2” MC, might be worth looking for a kit now. 1-1/2” not as common from what I’ve noticed ( of course, that could just be my area also)

I also switched the master cylinders… the B3GA is 1-1/4” with the B4GA was 1-1/2” (hint, hint, nudge ?)

wouldn't jsd's b4ga already have the 1-1/2" master cylinder?

edit: also, i'm surprised the b3ga wasn't equipped with the 1-1/2" bore MC.  i thought all the medium and big trucks used that size.  the MC on my b1fa was/is 1-1/2" bore.

The PO was kind enough to include the kit-piston is 1.5” so appears to be the right one. Hopefully it’s not too far gone to rebuild. Looks like a new one is pretty pricey. I like to use a pressure bleeder- these master cylinders seem to have a threaded plug which  I don’t have any kind of adapter for. Anyone know what the thread is on these?

yeah, I was surprised also but, Rob helped me figure out the some were not equipped with boosters (as shown in the parts manual) and they (oddly enough) used the 1-1/4 and the different position hole on the brake pedal (shown in Rob’s special book ?

JSD’s booster being under the hood, led me to think there was a possibility someone added the booster and could have altered or exchanged the MC.

from his little baggie I’d say it Looks like he is good to go.

JSD, if it is “too far gone” they can re-sleeve it. The last one I had done,  they didn’t have the 1-1/2” kit….. but your covered there
