Bryan Posted January 4, 2022 Report Posted January 4, 2022 Tried to search for an answer but mostly get fuel tank pickups. Does anyone know of a safe way to remove the oil sump pickup tube in the engine block? Going to try and pull the crank today. Quote
LazyK Posted January 4, 2022 Report Posted January 4, 2022 the oil pump pickup is just screwed into the block. Quote

LazyK Posted January 4, 2022 Report Posted January 4, 2022 that's how i did. if not a small pipe wrench just dont crush the tube. Quote
Doug&Deb Posted January 4, 2022 Report Posted January 4, 2022 I used a pipe wrench very carefully. 1 Quote

Dodgeb4ya Posted January 5, 2022 Report Posted January 5, 2022 You can take the floating pickup off then stick a 3/8" rod in the pipe....unscrew the pu pipe. No marring of the pipe. Quote
