fireguyfire Posted December 12, 2021 Report Posted December 12, 2021 (edited) This switch was hanging below my steering column, and the 2 leads from the lamp style cord went to 2 leads on the back of the ignition switch. im assuming this was aftermarket, but I thought I would double check before getting rid of it. Anyone got a guess as to what this would have been for, being a push button switch tied in to the back of the ignition switch?( the other lead was disconnected when I bought the truck, so I have no idea where it went to). lostviking Posted December 12, 2021 Report Posted December 12, 2021 Coming from the ignition switch, it might have been a cutout switch. I've seen them used to get a hot motor spinning, and then you let it go so the spark starts happening. Mostly I've seen it on high performance engines with a bunch of compression. Maybe the 6V starter needed a bit of help??? Quote
