fireguyfire
I pulled out the gauges from my truck today so that I can refresh and test them, as well as assessing my wiring harness as I plan on making a new one from scratch. found that the factory wiring goes to this chrome “button” above the Center of the speedo in the top of the dash; it has a single wire going to it. Can anyone enlighten me as to what this thing is?
Young Ed
High beam indicator. Should have a tiny red lense. Did it still have a bulb clipped into the back? If you want to remove it the back piece unscrews.
fireguyfire
The socket is still there; x didn’t look that close when I packed it in for the night, but that makes perfect sense. Thanks?
Jerry Roberts
If the red lens is gone , some of the guys stick a little red plastic in there . Plastic that lets the light through .
