Kevins nightmare Posted November 28, 2021 Report Posted November 28, 2021 (edited) Hey all, had low oil pressure issue and rearmain seal leak, sure enough I needed new rod bearings. Replaced the mains because I was there also reringed and honed the cylinders to break the glaze. After all that I have a no start issue, I pulled the distributor and rechecked the points everything was good checked spark at each plug and there is spark. Now I'm stumped as to why Iits not firing up. Anyhelp would be fantastic. Thanks all. Also after rering I'm getting 88psi to 93psi compression. Edited November 29, 2021 by Kevins nightmare Quote

greg g Posted November 29, 2021 Report Posted November 29, 2021 When I first tried to start mine after the rebuild. My spark plug leads were in the correct firing order but I was off one position on the dist cap plug ins. Double check. If its still factory oil pump position,, number 1 TDC compression will find the rotor clocked at 7 o clock. 1 Quote
Kevins nightmare Posted December 2, 2021 Author Report Posted December 2, 2021 Thanks guys, finally got her fired up. I had a draw on the battery from an open circuit so wasn't providing starter with enough juice. Quote
