1950 plymouth deluxe converting a 6volt to 12volt

bought the car , a someone already changed the alt. wiring(spagetti) coil etc.  i have turn signals lights.

No brake lights and i need a new 12 volt signal switch

all the 6 volt wires were cut.

No gas gauge or dash lights , alt gauge

any help?

You do not need a new turn signal switch just for the 6v to 12v change.  Now if it didn't work beforehand it's not going to work after the swap.

 

No alternator gauge tells me power is not getting to/from the ammeter.  Since everything is powered from the alternator side of the ammeter I bet that is your issue.  I would look there first, battery disconnected of course.
