billrigsby
Where does one get new clutch parts? Struck out at Napa, not sure how hard they tried, left him my list and did other things. Rock Auto has no listings either. Best source and/or price, any one have any Napa or other numbers? Need; 1268-715 Clutch Disc 10" 581-666 Cover with Pressure Plate 581-498 Bearing with Sleeve or 581-499 Bearing without Sleeve
Merle Coggins
I took my clutch and disc to a local clutch shop. I believe they sent it out to Fort Wayne Clutch to have it rebuilt.
squirebill
I had a great experience with Tennessee Clutch for my '49 B1B. Been few years ago. Dealt with a gentleman named Randall.
billrigsby
Okay, I get the impression these are not over-the-counter items anymore. I did see something online that the 1 in 10 spline clutch disc is obsolete. The place in Colorado Springs that did my Willy's is out of business so I guess I'll have to ship it somewhere. The Usual Suspects have them Roberts, DCM, VPW, etc., 250-350 for the kit, with 70 to 100 core charge.
DJ194950
Try a call to Tennessee Clutch for rebuild parts you send yours and are returned in short order (shipping these days are slow and more expensive) but will Most likely be way cheaper overall. Anyone still have the phone #. Sorry I do not. JMO, DJ

billrigsby
It's boxed up, shipping tomorrow, really nice guy, one day turn around!!
billrigsby
Took a bit longer than one day, but no rush here. Got it back today, $100 + $32 shipping, clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, pilot bushing, alignment tool and new bolts. I know the pressure plate I sent did not have the sheet-metal center, my other does not nor does the fluid drive, what is it's purpose, never seen one? $151.79 Round Trip Edited October 25, 2021 by billrigsby
DJ194950
Call and ask why the change or possible mistake? Worth the time to call in my opinion I know I would! DJ
billrigsby
Spoke to Randall at Tennessee Clutch, the purpose of the sheet metal is to help protect the clutch face if there is an oil leak. Also looked at the parts book, and the drawing does in fact show it, I am guessing aftermarket parts may not have had it.
