Just finished painting my engine

I just finished the paint job on my engine. I used aluminum engine paint from Duplicolor and VHT. I still need to install the valve cover and head gaskets. I will start bolting on some of my accessories once the paint has cured. Most are painted with appliance epoxy in black. 4C92F50A-F7AD-4F92-852B-CD851D9E9052.jpeg.8c7fa7edf4b92baf661b0d635cdf5f72.jpeg16663A56-7A43-4CAE-BB08-691EE64DBF66.jpeg.3751d02dbe944c75b9cd222493c85c39.jpeg5448F611-3EFE-4AA2-B076-2E61D20B45D0.jpeg.7d1a15db7056339da21e75a3d95776da.jpeg

Great paint!

Nice model "G" Electrolux with beater bar cable cord!?

Those suck like crazy!

Nice!  Just know it will never be as pretty as this again!  :P   12 years later, even with a careful application of POR15 silver, FEF's engine (while still clean) is getting patina.

The car behind it is 1974 1/2 260Z built in October with the 15 mph bumpers installed on the 1975 Zs. It has a rare white interior. It has plenty of engine with the added Weber’s. The vacuum really does suck. It is one of the better and most durable ever made.

I would have liked the paint to be grayer like it looks coming out of the can. I thought about repainting it black and using the aluminum over the top.

Not worried about patina, I liked the aged look.

It’s a tag stating that it is an industrial engine and has some serial numbers on it. I believe it might have been used to pump water.
