Conn47D24
I've been in the garage for awhile thus week, so sorry about 2 threads going at once. But but please instruct me on the correct order putting this new filter into my bypass can. How do these parts stack up ? Thank you in advance. JBNeal
The rubber seals on the canister need to fit snugly internal supply tube, then it's the process of elimination with the remaining pieces. The gasket should fit between the top bolt and the lid; the metal space should sit on top of the canister; the rubber seal probably should fit between the spacer and the lid. additional information - flathead bypass oil filter operation
joecoozie
Do you have a new O-RING for the lid?
Conn47D24
Looks like the metal piece and thicker washer are not for my filter. I used the small washer under the filter.
