Doug&Deb Posted August 18, 2021 Report Posted August 18, 2021 Can anyone with a Hollander’s tell me if a rear axle from a 47 D24 is compatible with a 52 Coronet? I’ve had this axle in my parts stash for years and I’m wondering if it’s worth hanging on to. Thanks Quote
desoto1939 Posted August 18, 2021 Report Posted August 18, 2021 My hollander only goes to 1948 but your axle is 1 inch 10 spline and 32 1/4 inches in length. If fits baiscally Chrylser, Desoto Dodge Plymouth form 1937-48. I can not tell if it fits other year past 1948 Are you looking to sell the axle. I would be interested. Doug&Deb Posted August 18, 2021 Author Report Posted August 18, 2021 Not sure yet. My Coronet has 130,000 odd miles on it so I’m still weighing my options. Quote
Doug&Deb Posted August 18, 2021 Author Report Posted August 18, 2021 When checking rear brake adjustment I noticed some play in the differential. With the miles on the car I’m seeing if the other axle would be a viable replacement if needed. Quote
