Normspeed Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 I'm at a lull between a tranny swap and a lowering job. I snapped this pic of my workbench last night. I don't have a garage, just a long paved RV area with 40 feet of white poly awnings, hence the black plastic rain cover that's folded back. What's your workbench looking like? Quote
Dodgefran Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 You have a bit more room than I do. But, that's what makes it more interesting. You have to use your imagination. I think this generation has to be taught that skill. We grew up having to use it to entertain ourselves. Have fun partner. Fran A. Quote
greg g Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 A clean bench is a sign of a sick mind. Quote
Dennis Hemingway Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 I had to tear my work bench apart when we had to move my old work shed. Here is a photo of my new garage, in the back ground you can see the new cement slab that it will go on. They should start putting it up the 1st of Dec. Dennis:D Quote
greg g Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 Well, that certainy looks serious. Patterned from a scholl bus garage??? Quote
Young Ed Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 This is one I built in my basement. I also have one built into my garage wall. I'm pretty sure they are both still here but I haven't seen them lately. Quote
Reg Evans Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 A clean bench is a sign of a sick mind. What a relief ! I can cancel my appointment with the shrink. Quote
Guest Dave Claussen Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 You have to be kidding! I tell the wife I know where everything is. And if it ain't where I put it, I know somebody's been messin' around in my workshop! I'm a pack rat too. I rarely throw anything away 'cause soon as I do, I need whatever that thing was and I have to go and buy one. Only problem is I need a bigger workshop and a bigger workbench. Time to add on! LOL Quote
Normspeed Posted November 18, 2006 Author Report Posted November 18, 2006 Hey Reg, I see you have a chainsaw under the bench. Are you parting out a P15 body? Quote
Reg Evans Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 Hey Reg, I see you have a chainsaw under the bench. Are you parting out a P15 body? Well, not really Norm......I strive to use all my tools as intended by the manufacturer unlike some high desert dwellers I've heard tails of. My businessman's coupe has proven to be an invaluable asset to my little firewood business. Quote
40phil41 Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 O.K. I admit it. A total mess! When we got a new kitchen done about 15 years ago I moved the old cupboards to the garage. only problem is I can't get to them. My plan is to leave the upper half and remove the lower counter and replace it with a narrower and sturdier design. At the moment I can't get in between my '40 and the bench. Phil Quote
greg g Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 Reg's wood hauler must have one of them treadholes............ Quote
Reg Evans Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 You nailed it Greg. I ran right over a rusty Benzel. Quote
40phil41 Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 Norm, I guess that explains why it took me 37 years to get my '40 on the road :-) Phil Quote
Niel Hoback Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 I ran out and took pictures of the workbenches in my garage. Three of them. I put the pictures in the computer. They are too big to send to the forum, and thats a good thing. When I looked at them on the screen, I couldn't see the work benches for all the "stuff", and I know they are there. It's too shameful to show. Quote
