1948 Desoto Deluxe "New Guy"

I have a 48' DeSoto Deluxe that may be beyond repair. However the fluid drive and 25" flatty are in decent shape. Motor will not fire but does crank, no spark, check and cleaned points, no spark. Might be thinking about selling the engine and trans as a whole. Any idea what these would go for?? I have video of it cranking, breather, air cleaner, carb, all original. clean.

I’m down in Mass and might be interested in the trans. Got a friend overseas rebuilding a 46 desoto club coupe and he’s been thinking of getting a second trans for his project. Drop me an email if you decide to part with it. Mark@rdusaclassics.com

Looks to be in pretty solid shape, judging by the photo.

I wish most of my projects had looked that good when I brought them home.

Not that it really matters what they look like until you get them apart and get all the metal blasted or cleaned. MY 48 Plymouth coupe looked perfect until about 5 years later, when "chunks" if it,complete with still shiny paint, started falling off.
