knuckleharley Posted March 15, 2021 Report Posted March 15, 2021 The cars were stylish as all get-out,but I can't say much for the clothes. Then again, for fancy dress,MY tastes would run to Zoot Suits. Coolest damn suits ever designed! Here is a link for you youngsters who have no idea what the hell I am talking about. Admit it,they "fit in" with your old Mopars like white on rice. zoot suit - Bing images 1 Quote

greg g Posted March 15, 2021 Report Posted March 15, 2021 In the first picture, that would be my father. Just putcher stuff here. I pack the gosh darn trunk! Nope don't need any help. Thanks though... He could get more stuff in the trunk of a car than seemed humanly possible. Probably came from being aboard ship in the Navy where you had to get all your stuff in 2.5 cubic feet of locker and drawer space. His glove compartment was the same. Quote

John Reddie Posted March 15, 2021 Report Posted March 15, 2021 That was the era of my youth. We used to pick up running driving cars from the '30's and early '40's for $50.00 and under. Gone but surely never forgotten. Thanks for posting these pics.? John R 1 Quote
