It’s a spring looking connector that goes between a plug wire and the plug. It allows you to connect an alligator clip from an analyzer. It’s hard to find something without the correct name. What I remember was a coil spring where one end attached to the plug and the other fit into the plug wire. It left enough exposed metal to attach a clip between the plug and wire.
