Still working out the bugs... body is welded onto a 2006 charger.  The guy that was supposed to help me w/front fabrication did a crappy job so I will be redoing that  i will post pics of inside tomorrow.

You figured it would be easier or better to do that, than just transplant the engine, trans, and rear to the 46 chassis and use a custom front suspension?

It wasnt what i had in mind no.  The guy “helping” executed without telling me (car was at his place), so essentially it is what it is.  Take a little bit of fab work on front, but body is soundly attached.

WOW! THAT would result in a deep breath,or 117 of them if it were me. Might even involve lawyers and deputies before the dust settled and the blood was mopped up.

Good on you that you handled it better.

I hope all goes well under the hood. Trying to get at anything to repair it could require the removal of fenders.

Probably have to pull the front clip to tune it up or change the belts.

I would recommend welding the hood to the fenders and making them one unit, and rigging them up as a tilt-front clip with pins in the rear to hold it down during normal operations.

The only other practical option I see would be to remove the inner fenders and reinforce them with a brace near the top and the bottom that are located so they aren't in the way of parts replacements. That would also give you the advantage of creating header clearances.

I would go all-in on the tilt front end idea!!!! Great Idea

Yep.  Plan is to fab a mount for new radiator/fan, buy a standalone harness, set up gas tank, get it running, the screw around with putting fenders on.

all tilt...hopefully the floor, firewall and inner fenders of the 06 is full intact and properly braced as the front suspension if 100% dependent on this metal integrity...

Yeah.  Lets see.

not so sure if retro would be a return path here....am sure the cutaway eventually resulted in even a bit more 'trim to fit' in the process to the point that you 'got what you got' end product and will either have to be dealt with in a slow and methodologically fashion to ensure strength, safety and function will all work together.  There are no pictures of the firewall, inner fenders, torque box area for nothing else to call it, where floor/cowl/firewall join so making any call here is based on 'need' as we cannot see or discuss that which is not shown.
