Fuel tank retrofit /gauge on 12 volts

So let me begin with the fuel tank. Mid 70’s 1/2 ton plastic tank, relocated one cross member to match mounting strap location, ran filler neck to box floor. Its longer than original, but flatter.no longer a low point under truck. 
 

next was dealing with sender and gauge on 12 volts. 
grounded sending unit to cab body,and utilized the voltage reducer that was on cluster of donor truck. Power and ground to reducer,and insulated reducer shell as its the 12 volt pos input. Reduced voltage to gauge significantly. So i know there is only a couple gallons in truck, it reads just above empty. I think its a win.
