42-48 Plymouth and Dodge 42-48 except 7 passenger sedan or limo. From Hollander Interchange. You might be able to do a crossshaft adjustment and a worm gear adjustment by removing a shim, to tighten the free play. It’s in the service manual, if you have one, and will explain the procedure. Some people refill the assembly with corn head grease instead of GL1. You will get the best results with the steering fully assembled and wheels on the ground or slightly elevated for easier steering. You have 4 tie rod connections that could be a cause of any free play at the steering wheel. Other than that, how’s your 47 convertible coming along? You could post a picture or two, Billy.
