39 Desoto did not have relays for lights.  They did have a relay of selinoid for the overdrive units so I guees that would qualify.  But no specific relay for lights.  When people converted over to 6v sealed beam for the cars made before 1940 they then put in relays to help with the sealed beams.

Dodge never used HL relays probably till the 90's or later in the import chassis cars.

Old Mopars had horn relays.  But the headlights and parkings light had junction blocks mounted on the inner panel where the wiring would go before going to the lights.  Then a shorter length of wire would go the lights from those junction blocks.
