How can I do that now? I forgot to store some from last winter. ?  What if last winter was quite warm overall?  Recommended  air temp. to save for next year?

I guess I will post a wanted ad in the classified to see if anyone has extra for sale?  ?  We may have to import some from Canada if the west coast of US stays this warm!

DJ- I think that is who I am today?

Each fall change the headlight fluid, grease the muffler bearings, rotate the brake shoes, add a little glycol to the fuel tank, check the water-pump timing, re-set the dwell on the float, swap out air for nitrogen in the tires, and change the dust bag on the vacuum wipers.  These tasks will keep you busy for over the winter. Next thing you’ll know it’ll be spring and time to reverse all the damage again!

Well I do remember my dad draining the radiator, mixing us some cocktail of water, alcohol, and anti corrosion chemical, changing the summer thermostats for a winter one, hanging his home made old piece of carpet winter front, pulling out his chains, straighrening then out and soaking the clamp ends in oil.  He always made an appointment for the Friday after Thanksgiving to go down to the local tire recapper to have his walnut shell iron filling and sawdust impregnated Polar grip snow tires mounted. And then the next day the Sae 30 got dumped for some fresh sae10.  New windshield wipers were part of the plan also.
