Wow nice job.  Those rims give the truck attitude!  How does the flatty  like the 3.23 rear gears?  Thinking of doing a swap in my slant 6 pickup for more highway speed.

In hindsight 3.55 would be better, the Flathead labors a bit starting out, but now the truck can cruise easily at 60 mph

The other alternative would have been to hop up the engine

I did communicate with Tony Smith at Mopar Montana about building up the Flathead - they can build quite a Flathead that would have handled the 3.23 ratio fine. (10K - 12K depending on some of the components - I have the build sheet if anyone is interested)

I ended up sticking with the stock engine.

As far as the Wheel and Tire combo,  I did quite of bit of reviewing the original truck specs and the dimension changes from the E-Body rear (slightly narrower) and the Scarebird Disc brakes (adds 3/4" on each side if I remember correctly) I stayed with 16 inch rims, the tires are from Diamond Back and I tried to keep close to the original tire height

Fronts are 16 x 6 with 4 in backspace - tires 225/70R-16

Rears are 16 x 8 with 4 in backspace - tires are 255/70R-16
