Bdblazer1978
I ordered an engine rebuild kit and just opened it to see what all I got and try to figure where every thing goes. I noticed that one of the cork oil pan side gaskets was damaged during shipping. I'm assuming I need to contact the company about a replacement, but this is my first time using cork gaskets, so I figured I'd ask. Thanks Bill
JBNeal
them cork gaskets can be adhered to the oil pan with a gasket sealant, but considering that damage is at the bolt hole, it's probably gonna seep a little bit...definitely see what the seller can do to rectify this situation... Dodgeb4ya
Be confident it won't leak...Replace it.
Bdblazer1978
Thanks for the input. About as soon as I posted this I contacted the seller and they are sending me a replacement. With as much oil as I've already removed, I'm going to do everything I can to prevent it in the future.
