MoparJigsaw
Greetings all, Does anyone know the torque specs for the crankshaft pulley on a flathead 6 (251)? It is not the original engine in the truck but the truck is a 1947. Thanks.
Sniper
When there is no spec listed in the service manual then a chart like this comes in real handy. https://www.boltdepot.com/fastener-information/Bolts/US-Recommended-Torque.aspx And if you happen to need it, the metric version https://www.boltdepot.com/fastener-information/Bolts/Metric-Recommended-Torque.aspx Edited May 20, 2020 by Sniper
soth122003
Check your dodge service manual under the engine data. In the Plymouth manual under the same it lists the torque for the crankshaft nut as 108 ft pds min. for a 217 cid eng. Hopefully the dodge manual lists the specs. Sniper
Now does he want the hub to crank bolt spec or the pulley to hub bolts spec?
