Help removing motor and tranny.

I am working on a 48 d24 and I need help with how to drop the motor and the trans.  How high do i need the front end? What parts have to be off before I drop anything? What bolts are the ones I have to remove? I'm trying to make the drop as easy as possible.

you day drop...is it your intent to lower through the frame rails to the ground and clear the body by lifting it....I have never done these old mopars that way, I just however did an install by lowering the body over a combo eng/tans and finish by lifting the combo into place from above on a bit smaller car.  On these mopars I prefer to remove the doghouse...I will say this. .with wheels on and such you will need to be able to tilt that combo and extreme angle tranny tail down.  Again, I recommend for if nothing but safety to remove the doghouse...a trick in the old days was to remove the grill, cut the top of the rad support and slip through this hole and nut plate the rad support when finished...I do not recommend this...only that it was very common back it the day when these cars were just a another commodity.

When I pulled mine I found it easier to remove the front fenders and grill assembly as one piece. In the long run it saved a lot of time. Did it in a couple hours by myself. Hardest part was hooking it up to engine hoist. Ended up using 4 carabiner clips & a piece of heavy nylon rope. Worked very well after I found the balance point and secured so it could not slip. Carabiner clips attached to the rear top body mounts on each fender and to the two tabs that are at the front top of each fender.
