So i figured i would tap into the collective mind here. radiator from a 1949 1 ton fit a 51 1/2 ton? looks to be in decent shape and price is good. Merle Coggins Posted February 20, 2020 Report Share Posted February 20, 2020 Well, according to the parts catalog the P/N's are different between 1 ton's and 1/2 ton trucks, and also different between 1, 2 series and 3, 4 series. bkahler Posted February 20, 2020 Report Share Posted February 20, 2020 My 51 B3B 1/2 ton has a radiator in it from a Desoto and I didn't realize it was from a Desoto until just recently. bkahler Posted February 20, 2020 Report Share Posted February 20, 2020 Here is a listing on ebay for a 46-48 Desoto radiator that is the same as mine. It has a puncture hole in the top tank but that should be repairable. I didn't realize mine was not original to the truck until Brian posted the information he linked to above.
