Adjusting the Hood on a '52 Plymouth

I noticed to my horror tonight that the hood on my '52 Plymouth, when closing it, is off center just enough to scrape a little on the driver's side.  Is there a method to adjust the centering on the hood?  The service manual doesn't discuss it (probably beneath it) but I can't figure it out... are these two bolts related to re-alignment?  Thanks in advance.  (Any advice on keeping this rubbed spot from rusting?)

the two screws that secure the hood to the hinge at the bottom lip should allow a bit of tweaking here.  The ones you are showing are basic up and down and forward back tweaks....in your picture o0f the open hood and lost paint, feel under that lip for the two bolts.  I found the hood adjustment procedures well spelled out in the manual.  Don't overlook the fact that the center bar may have be over-strained at one point..
