JBNeal
I have a couple of frames with similar damage, both came from farming areas near the coast so there was plenty of clay mud that would deposit in the frame and not get rinsed out...one frame is so eat up with rust holes that it's destined for the scrap heap, the other may be salvaged as the rusty areas could be patched... Jerry Roberts
It is also common in areas of the country where they put salt on the roads to melt the snow and ice .
