Dakota1917 Posted July 2, 2019 Report Posted July 2, 2019 I have a 1950 model dodge pickup truck and I can’t seem to figure out why after unbolting everything the motor won’t separate and come out Quote
Todd B Posted July 2, 2019 Report Posted July 2, 2019 Rust is holding together would be my guess. Tap it with a hammer 1 Quote
Merle Coggins Posted July 2, 2019 Report Posted July 2, 2019 How did you unbolt everything? If you pulled out the bell housing bolts you should know that there are two dowels on either side of the block that are holding it in place. Also, if you are attempting to pull the engine and leave the bell housing and trans in place you also should know that the engine can’t be separated from the bell housing without also removing the flywheel, which would mean also removing the trans and clutch assembly. Dakota1917 Posted July 2, 2019 Author Report Posted July 2, 2019 And that’s exactly what I was looking for 1 Quote

kencombs Posted July 2, 2019 Report Posted July 2, 2019 I would suggest you purchase a manual for your truck. It will save you a lot of time and prevent mistakes. Quote
