49dumper Posted June 17, 2019 Report Posted June 17, 2019 Hey folks. New to this group. Just bought a 49 pilot house 2 ton dump truck. I'm looking at options for tires/rims. It currently has stock rims with 8.25-20 tires. I'm looking to go more modern with radials and maybe r22.5 semi wheels. I can't seem to find any adapters available to go from the stock 5 bolt to 8 or 10 bolt. Does anyone here have any experience with this type of swap? Thanks in advance. Quote
Radarsonwheels Posted June 18, 2019 Report Posted June 18, 2019 I have ordered custom billet adapters before can’t remember the maker’s name but they were reasonably priced. It was a small shop run by an ex drag racer iirc. Mail order maybe phone or web. Quote
Todd B Posted June 18, 2019 Report Posted June 18, 2019 I have radials on my semi. 8.25 x 20. No problem getting them on my original rims 1 Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted June 18, 2019 Report Posted June 18, 2019 I have radials on my 4 tonner also... no issues at all with the lock ring wheels. 1 Quote
49dumper Posted June 18, 2019 Author Report Posted June 18, 2019 So you are still running tubes with the radials? What brand of radials are you using? Thanks Quote
