bluebanshee Posted April 29, 2019 Report Posted April 29, 2019 (edited) My gauge was working before I pulled the motor out, now I can't recall how it was hooked up. Would anyone be able to tell me where the sensor is? I tried search online before and gave up on it. Thanks. Edited April 29, 2019 by bluebanshee Pic Quote
Reg Evans Posted April 29, 2019 Report Posted April 29, 2019 If it's a 315 V8 it's showing on this photo of my Sweptside just behind the throttle return spring. Quote
bluebanshee Posted April 30, 2019 Author Report Posted April 30, 2019 (edited) Its the 230cid 6 cylinder, I guess I should have specified. Thanks for the reply! Edited April 30, 2019 by bluebanshee Quote
Merle Coggins Posted April 30, 2019 Report Posted April 30, 2019 Should be at the driver's side, rear, corner of the head. Just behind your oil filter. Quote

So its on the vertical part of the head? There is an unconnected wire that I suspect is for the probe. Quote
Don Coatney Posted April 30, 2019 Report Posted April 30, 2019 Is your gauge mechanical or electrical? Quote
bluebanshee Posted April 30, 2019 Author Report Posted April 30, 2019 I'm almost 100% certain its electrical but have not looked at it since last year. I do not recall a sensor in the head like yours but will need to check this evening. Quote
Don Coatney Posted April 30, 2019 Report Posted April 30, 2019 Electrical sensor will look like this. 1 Quote
bluebanshee Posted May 1, 2019 Author Report Posted May 1, 2019 That is indeed where its at. I couldn't see it with the oil filter and wires. Now I'll just have to figure out where the wire is for it. Many thanks, not sure I would have spotted it with all the stuff in the way as I've looked before. Quote
