1941coupe
Looking for some input or thoughts on General tires. I'll be buying a set of black wall 6 × 16 bias ply tires from Lucas Tire for it soon and welcome input as to which brands are known to be good or better than others. knuckleharley
Don't know if this is helpful or not,but I have bought General Tires to use on modern cars and trucks since the early 70's,and have never had any problems. In fact,I just bought 4 new 17 inch General tires for my 2016 4x4 pu tonight on Amazon. Never used any of their antique car sizes bias ply tires, though.
matt167
Keep in mind, that General, Firestone or any of the others do not actually manufacture the vintage look tires. Those tires are licensed products built by another company. Coker tire builds many, but there are others.
DJ194950
Coker bought from the original tire manufacturer the old molds that were mothballed and I guess the right to use the name with it. For the steel radial tires that Look like original bias ply tires Coker made their own molds to look the same. DJ
